About Cinderella at Aurora Theatre

Audiences have been anticipating this production since it was first announced two years ago, originally slated for production in July 2020—but as all good fairy godmothers know, “Even miracles take a little time!” The enduring fairytale features treasured Rodgers and Hammerstein songs, such as “In My Own Little Corner, “Impossible/It’s Possible,” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” alongside a hilarious and romantic story that, with a new book by Douglas Carter Beane, adds new characters and surprising twists. The Aurora Theatre team says the rags-to-regal journey of Ella parallels Aurora’s own story- from humble beginnings to fulfilling their dream of the brand-new Lawrenceville Arts Center.
