It had a planned premiere that got cancelled due to COVID. Then its rescheduled run got cancelled again. Finally, Atlanta audiences are getting to see the much-anticipated musical.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre presents the World Premiere of Atlanta-born musical The Pretty Pants Bandit at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forrest Street) March 31-April 17, 2022. With a book and songs by local theatre artists Chase Peacock and Jessica De Maria, the show features a totally original, pop-rock musical theatre score billed as, “Part heist adventure, part romantic comedy, and all excitement.”

Meet the Company

Leading the cast is Anna Dvorak Gonzalez (Wonderland, Xanadu) as Marie Baker, an unlikely heroine discovering herself as the world discovers her alias. Fenner Eady (Ain’t  Misbehavin’, Once on this Island) is Lawrence Walker, club owner and jazz singer turned  reluctant bandit. Marie’s “Pants Gang” includes Jordan Patrick (Heathers, Titanic) as  Jaye, Sebastian Trevino (The Jury, NYC) as Cesario and Skyler Brown (Once,  The Color Purple) as Sam. Plucked from obscurity, these boys join Marie on a ride they’ll never forget.

Megan Zhang (Nine, Camelot) plays Gloria Rowe, a hustling reporter who  finds her star on the rise as she intrepidly covers the escapades of The Pretty Pants Bandit.  The cast also includes Latrice Pace as Kat Walker, Chris Damiano as police chief  Leslie Quigg and Dan Ford as Angelo Durante.  

Rounding out the star-studded showcase of local talent are Imani Joseph, Jody Woodruff, Patrick Coleman, Kendra Johnson, AJ Klopach, Tyler Kidd, Amy Duffy, Brenda Ortiz, Zionn Glenn and Shannon Murphy.

About Chase & Jessica

Writing team Chase Peacock & Jessica De Maria have both been staples on Atlanta stages for over a decade. Their first original work, What’s Past, was featured as part of the inaugural Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival and their second, Vivian: A Ghost Story, premiered to sold-out houses at the Atlanta Lyric Studio Theatre in the Square in October of 2017.
