Lynn Nottage, the two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright behind the shows Sweat and Ruined will have her latest work staged by Atlanta’s Theatrical Outfit.

Clyde’s, which won four Drama Desk Awards and was nominated for five Tony Awards following a critically-acclaimed run on Broadway in 2021, will be staged at the Balzer Theayer at Herren’s March 12 through April 7.

January LaVoy directs the production.

The play takes place in the kitchen of a truck stop diner near Reading, PA, where, a group of formerly incarcerated cooks work together to get their shot at redemption. When a new member of the team rocks the boat, the group bands together to fight back the only way they know how—by creating the perfect sandwich.

Clyde’s stars Marcello Audino, Burke Brown, Tonia Jackson, Tequilla Whitfield and Geoffrey Williams.
