This month, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra continues its programming with a variety of rich concerts and performances featuring conductor Robert Spano, guest artists, and of course the Grammy Award-winning orchestra. Below, let’s take a look at three highlights from the ASO’s November schedule!
Symphony of a Thousand

Music Director Robert Spano and the ASO will reprise Mahler’s Symphony No. 8, “Symphony of a Thousand” in Symphony Hall for the first time since 1991. For these performances, Spano, the Orchestra and Chorus will be joined by the Morehouse and Spelman College Glee Clubs, the Gwinnett Young Singers and an all-star cast of internationally renowned vocalists including sopranos Nicole Cabell, Erin Wall and Evelina Dobračeva, mezzo-sopranos Kelley O’Connor and Michelle DeYoung, tenor Toby Spence, baritone Russell Braun and bass Morris Robinson.
2019 Talent Development Program Musicale

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Talent Development Program (TDP) will present its Musicale concert, an afternoon of music featuring solo and chamber performances by the program’s talented young musicians. The concert will also feature 2019 Aspire Award Recipients the Dalí Quartet performing an original work by ASO violinist Juan Ramírez. This concert is part of the ASO75 Around the A Series, presented by PNC. Around the A is a series of free performances around Atlanta featuring musicians of the ASO, ASYO and TDP. Home Alone in Concert

The ASO ends the month of November with Home Alone in Concert as part of its Movies in Concert Series. A true holiday favorite, this beloved comedy classic features renowned composer John Williams’ charming and delightful score performed live to picture by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
