Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová of popular folk-rock duo, The Swell Season, are returning to the Atlanta Symphony Hall to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the movie, Once.

The pair reconvened for the first time in 10 years last March for a limited number of sold-out shows and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is excited to welcome them back for a one-night engagement on Aug. 9, beginning at 8 p.m. The show will feature special guest Lisa O’Neill.

Irglová and Hansard starred in the 2007 film and won the Oscar for Best Original Song with their composition, “Falling Slowly.” In 2009, the duo released the critically acclaimed album Strict Joy before branching out into solo careers. Occasionally, they would appear at each other’s shows, but never did a tour together until last March.

In 2012, Once, the musical debuted on Broadway and went on to be nominated for eleven Tonys, winning eight including Best Musical. It ran for three years on Broadway and is currently still in production as a touring musical.
