Beginning April 3, the W Atlanta — Midtown is giving you a way to celebrate hump day and benefit metro Atlanta’s Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, a nonprofit volunteer organization that rescues dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in North Georgia.

The yappy hour, called “Mutts n’ Martinis,” begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday each month through September on the W’s Living Room Patio. The dates: April 3, May 1, June 5, July 10, Aug. 7 and Sept. 4.

The dogs will get special treats, and humans can get Salty Dog Martinis (vodka, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, yum) for $5. Angels Among Us will sell tickets ($5 each) to a donated raffle item and keep the proceeds. The yappy hours should also raise awareness of the rescue group among intown pet lovers.

The W Atlanta — Midtown is at 188 14th St. N.E.
