The Fox Theatre will host its annual benefit concert, Revival, with special guest headliner The Indigo Girls on April 28. Tickets are now on sale.

The concert will also include Charlie Starr with Benji Shanks of Blackberry Smoke.

Atlanta native and musician Kevn Kinney of Drivin n Cryin will host the event.

The Revival concert raises money to preserve and restore Georgia’s historic theaters and expand its education and community outreach arm through multiple live auctions.

On the night, all attendees can take part in a special auction to raise money for the Fox Theatre’s outreach program, which since 2008, has awarded more than $3.2 million for Georgia’s playhouses and concert halls.

“This annual benefit is all about celebrating our state’s rich theater and music culture, bringing together fans and supporters in Atlanta for a memorable evening of performances and meaningful fundraising,” said Leigh Burns, director of the Fox Theatre’s community partnerships program.

Last year, $500,000 in grants was given to 12 theaters, including The Strand in Marietta, Northwest Atlanta’s Grove Theatre and Fairburn’s Southside Theatre Guild.

This year’s proceeds are aimed at the core outreach program, “Fox in a Box,” which directly benefits elementary school students throughout Georgia.
