Known for its fusion of southern rock, jazz and blues, Athens-based Widespread Panic is renowned as one of America’s best live bands.

The band formed at the University of Georgia in 1986, and over its more than three decades, Widespread Panic has cemented itself as a band in the same conversation with the Grateful Dead and Phish.

To help say goodbye to 2023 and ring in the new year, the band will be playing three shows at the Fox Theatre, Dec. 29-31.

Fans can buy single-day tickets or three-concert packages, as no two shows are ever the same.

The band’s current lineup features guitarist/singer John Bell, bassist Dave Schools, drummer Duane Trucks, percussionist Domingo “Sunny” Ortiz, keyboardist John Hermann and guitarist Jimmy Herring.
