he Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Delta Classical Series concerts will showcase Hollywood’s refined musical side, with two concerts led by one of Hollywood’s busiest musicians, Anthony Parnther, on Nov. 30 and Dec. 2, both at 8 p.m.

Under the leadership of music director Nathalie Stutzmann, the orchestra will explore works by legendary film composers John Williams and Chanda Dancy.

Additionally, the performance will feature a bassoon concerto, “The Five Sacred Trees,” by Williams, performed by soloist Anthony Brady.

The concert also premieres Dancy’s composition, “Cacophony of Spirits: A Cinematic Tone Poem,” a reflection on loss, suffering, and personal tragedy during challenging times.

The performances conclude with Florence Price’s Symphony No. 3, highlighting her ability to create a cinematic atmosphere despite lacking a direct link to the film world, drawing on her experience accompanying silent films and improvising music during her student days.
