Grammy-winning metal rockers Dream Theatre are headed to the Fox Theatre on June 16, to kick off its Dreamsonic summer tour.

The band was co-founded in 1995 by metal pioneers John Petrucci (guitar) and John Myung (bass), and James LaBrie has provided lead vocals. Dream Theatre also includes Jordan Rudess on keys and Mike Mangini on drums.

With a song catalogue that includes hits such as “Lie,” A Change of Seasons,” “As I Am,” and “Pull Me Under,” Dream Theatre has been one of the most popular metal bands, selling more than 15 million records worldwide.

Dream Theatre most recently released “A View From The Top Of The World” in 2021, achieving a No. 1 chart position on the Hard Music Charts and seeing its song, “The Alien,” take home the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.

At the Fox Theatre, Dream Theater will welcome special guest Devin Townsend & Animals as Leaders.

“We are all so incredibly excited to present Dream Theater’s very own prog-metal music festival, Dreamsonic 2023!” Petrucci said. “Dreamsonic promises to be a reoccurring musical event that will deliver history-making nights of amazing music for many years to come.”
