Broadway star Carolee Carmello leads the company as Dolly Levi, returning to Atlanta after appearing at the Alliance in the premiere of Tuck Everlasting in 2014. Hello, Dolly! has historically seen major theatre divas take on the title role, including: Carol Channing, Barbra Streisand, Pearl Bailey, Ethel Merman, Mary Martin, Bernadette Peters, and the star of the 2017 revival, Bette Midler. And, yes, the exclamation point in Hello, Dolly! is part of the official title.
