I LOVED, I LOST, I ATE SPAGHETTI may best be described as a saucy, one-woman romantic comedy about the trials and tribulations of navigating the minefield that is big-city dating. As Giulia shares her stories, she cooks, sips wine and makes spaghetti from scratch onstage. She may even feed audience members. The script is based on a 2009 memoir with recipes by Giulia Melucci; the script comes from Jacques Lemarre. Jennifer Levison, of Souper Jenny restaurant fame, has the lone role and cooking responsibilities in this Georgia Ensemble Theatre staging. Synchronicity Theatre’s Rachel May directs. Think of I Loved, I Lost as a “foodie’s dream version of ‘Sex and the City.'” (Top photo: Jennifer Levison. Photo by Casey Gardner.)
