Were you born to hand-jive? Sport a leather jacket or a poodle skirt? Make out beneath the bleachers? Then Grease, now playing at the always inventive Serenbe Playhouse, is the word for you. The perennially popular 1972 musical is based on the 1950s’ Chicago high school days of creators Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs, who never dreamed it would be this long-lived. At Serenbe, where all shows are performed outdoors, the greasers and Pink Ladies bust out of Rydell High, performing in a setting that evokes a vintage drive-in movie. The cast is strong, with Randi Garza (Evita) as Sandy and Michael Stiggers as Danny leading the way. You’ll find it in the Wildflower Meadow at Serenbe, in Chattachoochee Hills. There will be signs once you get close.
