Need a few Phantom facts to tide you over until the masked marvel takes you and his beloved Christine on another tour of the Parisian catacombs? Here you go:
OLD AND NEW. This U.S. tour is directed by Laurence Connor and features an all-new production design and staging but retains the Tony-winning costume designs by Maria Bjornsen.
SWOON FACTOR. Your new Phantom is Cooper Grodin; his Christines are Julia Udine and Grace Morgan.
COUNT TO SEVEN. The North American tour is one of seven productions running worldwide — in London; New York; Sapporo, Japan; Budapest, Hungary; and Hamburg, Germany; as well as an Asian-Pacific tour, with another production opening in Taipei, Taiwan, in September.
TRIPLE THREAT. Phantom’s three previous U.S. tours have grossed more than $1.5 billion and played 14,500 performances seen by 31 million people.
COUNT TO SIX. Phantom has paid six previous visits to Atlanta, most recently in 2010.
