Serenbe Playhouse this summer presents the world premiere of Ten Mile Lake, a drama by California-based playwright Tira Palmquist. The piece looks at the lasting power of memories and love, as a father and daughter gaze over familiar waters and dip their toes into unfamiliar territory. He’s sick, but seems to prefer the company of his nurse. Should she stay or go? The cast includes Suzi Bass Award winners Veronika Duerr (Tradin’ Paint at the late, great Theatre in the Square, 2009) and Mark Kincaid (Serenbe’s Shipwrecked, 2012), along with Bryan Brendle. As with all shows at Serenbe, in the Palmetto/Chattahoochee Hills area, Ten Mile Lake is performed outdoors. On a lake, perhaps? The show runs June 12-29, bookmarked by The Wizard of Oz and Oklahoma!
