011-gifts-of-the-magi-webIt’s Christmas, the season of giving, but it doesn’t look merry or bright to Jim and Della, penniless newlyweds valiantly struggling to find the perfect gift for one another. This musical Gifts of the Magi, based on O. Henry’s famous 1906 story, returns to Theatrical Outfit with half of last season’s cast (Nick Arapoglou as Jim, Caroline Freedlund as Della, and Jeff McKerley) and the booming voices of newcomers Kayce Grogan-Wallace (Penelope Pennywise in Fabrefaction’s Urinetown), Kevin Harry (Aurora Theatre’s Les Miserables) and Rob Lawhorn (Hank Williams in the Outfit’s Lost Highway). The Gifts of the Magi runs Nov. 27-Dec. 22 at the downtown theater. (Pictured: Arapoglou and Freedlund)
