prodBialystock and Bloom! Bialystock and Bloom! Feel like the king of Broadway when you take in the musical The Producers, part of a new season in a new space for Atlanta Lyric Theatre (now at the 600-seat Jennie T. Anderson Theatre at the Cobb Civic Center). The Mel Brooks hit, which left no insult unturned on its way to a dozen 2001 Tony Awards, opens the Lyric’s six-show 2012-13 season. The Producers, based on Brooks’ popular movie of the same name, features a slick producer and nebbish accountant who team up for the biggest flop in Broadway history and embezzle big bucks in the process. You’ll be singing along by the time those goose-stepping chorus boys croon “Springtime for Hitler.” The show runs through Aug. 25.
