Hey foodies! Pick up a knife and fork and loosen your belts — the Celebrity Chef Tour will be in Atlanta on Aug. 12th and 13th at the Four Seasons Hotel’s Park 75 restaurant.
The dinner series will feature the work of three top American chefs: Chef Robert Gerstenecker, Chef Edward Lee and Chef James Lewis. On Friday, guests can hobnob at a cocktail party with the celebrity chefs; on Saturday there will be an interactive dinner where the chefs showcase their talents. Longtime Four Seasons chef, Gerstenecker, who helms the Atlanta hotel’s culinary staff, will host the event. From Kentucky, Chef Lee specializes in bold interpretations of Asian and French cooking, and has been featured in publications such as the New York Times and Southern Living. Birmingham’s Chef Lewis, owner of Bettola restaurant, is passionate about Italian cuisine and sharing his love of food.
The Celebrity Chef Tour benefits the James Beard Foundation which is “dedicated to celebrating, nurturing, and preserving America’s diverse culinary heritage and future.” Founder James Beard was a cookbook author and mentor of culinary professionals who was determined to improve the reputation and quality of American cuisine. His foundation supports student scholarships and culinary education and presents awards to innovative chefs. The Celebrity Chef Tour, which features a different group of chefs and James Beard Foundation Award winners at every stop, has already been to several locations, including California, Virginia, New York and Pennsylvania. After Atlanta, it will head to Washington D.C.
The cost of the event depends on what days you choose to attend. A Friday only ticket is $50 and Saturday only is $175. There are special rates for Visa signature cardholders: $150 for Saturday only or $175 for both days.
