“The Spano touch,” for which the Music Director and the ASO are justly held in high regard, delivers an unexpected combination: music from Osvaldo Golijov’s first soundtrack score for a major film, Francis Ford Coppola’s 2007 Youth Without Youth; Vaughan Williams’s first indisputable masterpiece; and Stravinsky’s genre-bending ballet score.
