This homage to the career of the performer dubbed “The Queen of Disco” will make its Music City debut as part of the 2019-2020 Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta season. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. April 17 at FoxTheatre.org/Summer, by phone at (855) 285-8499 and at the Fox Theatre box office, 660 Peachtree St. NE in midtown Atlanta. She was a girl from Boston with a voice from heaven, who shot through the stars from gospel choir to dance floor diva. But what the world didn’t know was how Summer risked it all to break through barriers, becoming an icon of an era and an inspiration for every music diva who followed. With a score featuring more than 20 of Summer’s classic hits including “Bad Girls,” “On the Radio,” and “Hot Stuff,” this electric experience is a moving tribute to the voice of a generation.
