The High Museum is kicking off the summer season with a number of fun and informative activities and events for late May and June.
On Wednesday, May 29, the museum will present the contemporary photography exhibition, Truth Told Slant from 1 to 3 p.m., and hold a lively in-gallery conversation with those in the LGBTQIA+ community and supporters. After the viewing, light refreshments and further discussions will take place at Twelve Eighty Lounge, the High’s on-site restaurant.
On Tuesday, June 11, the museum’s “Musing Together” program will offer art discussions for people with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia and their care partners from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
Plus, each Saturday in June, the High Museum will hold drop-in art making, toddler programs, and gallery tours.
And June 26 and 27, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., the High will present Studio Sessions: Lineage through Collage, where instructor Daniel Mantilla provides hands-on guidance, helpful suggestions, and unique insight into the art of collage-making
