The original Broadway cast recording of Water for Elephants, the hit Broadway musical which had its world premiere in Atlanta at Alliance Theatre last summer, is now available in streaming and digital formats.

A CD for show, which was nominated for seven 2024 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, will be available later this year.

With a book by three-time Tony Award nominee Rick Elice (Jersey Boys and Peter and the Starcatcher) and score by the acclaimed PigPen Theatre Co., Water for Elephants follows a young man who, after losing what matters most, jumps on a moving train and finds a new home with the remarkable crew of a traveling circus.

Directed by Tony Award nominee Jessica Stone (Kimberly Akimbo), the musical is currently playing at NYC’s Imperial Theatre. Broadway newcomer Grant Gustin (TV’s Flash) stars and is joined on stage by Isabelle McCalla, four-time Tony Award nominee Gregg Edelman, Drama Desk and Outer Critic Circle Award nominee Paul Alexander Nolan, Stan Brown, Joe De Paul, Sara Gettelfinger and Wade McCollum.

Water for Elephants is adapted from the New York Times-bestselling novel of the same name, written by Sara Gruen.

The album, produced by Mary-Mitchell Campbell and Ian Kagey, can be ordered at ghostlightrecords.com.
