What better way to get into the holiday season than seeing the stage adaptation of Irving Berlin’s classic holiday film White Christmas live on stage? Legacy Theatre is making that possible with a run of the show through Dec. 17.
With music and lyrics by Berlin, and a touching book by David Ives and Paul Blake, the classic musical tells the story on veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, who have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander.
The show features a memorable Berlin score that includes well-known standards such as “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and of course, “White Christmas.”
Tickets start at $40 for adults, $20 for children. For more information, visit www.legacytheater.com.
