The Children’s Museum of Atlanta will celebrate National Dog Day on Aug. 24, as it partners with Canine Companions and LifeLine Animal Project to bring foster pups to the venue in what’s being hailed as a “paw-some” experience.

Beginning at 11 a.m., Canine Companions will bring service dogs and their handlers to the museum stage, where there will be a reading of Raising a Hero by Laura Numeroff and numerous service dog obedience demonstrations.

Canine Companions is a volunteer group that raises public awareness, recruiting new applicants and puppy raisers, and organizing fundraising events.

Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., LifeLine Animal Project will be outside the museum with a number of adorable foster dogs available for adoption. All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine and more!

Tickets are required for the stage portion of the day and can be purchased at childrensmuseumatlanta.org
