Fox Gives, a program which provides sizable grants to historic theatres in Georgia in need of urgent or emergency repairs, has received The Georgia Cities Foundation’s 2024 Foundation Legacy Partner Award.

The award is in recognition of a city or organization that demonstrates enduring dedication to community improvement, economic development, and fostering strong partnerships.

Fox Gives was honored for its long-term commitment and partnership in urban redevelopment and community enhancement, most notably its Fox Gives grants program, which has helped theaters that suffered during floods or fires, and has provided high school students with front-row access to entertainment industry careers.

“Receiving this inaugural award from a group of our peers who are dedicated to enhancing the vitality of Georgia’s cities is truly a humbling recognition,” said Leigh Burns, director of community partnerships at Fox Gives. “This honor further motivates our dedication to fostering community and economic development across the state through the preservation of arts and culture.”

Fox Gives was presented with the award at the Georgia Municipal Association’s annual awards on June 24, at the Savannah Convention Center.
