godguys. The Stage Play, a powerful story that addresses major issues that Black males deal with but rarely talk about, is debuting at 7 Stages Theatre for two nights, June 17 and 18.

Based on a story by C. Nathaniel Brown of Expected End Entertainment, the production is written and directed by nA’ Stubbs of uNiqu’ Arts.

The play follows six Black men—a godfather and five godbrothers, who have formed a family-like bond. Their time together demolishes barriers to allow them to be transparent and address deep rooted issues such as mental illness, addiction, molestation, abandonment and trust.

The story dispels myths about Black men, removes the stigma of therapy, and encourages healing from past hurts.

godguys. The Stage Play stars Atlanta actors Troy Bland as Bobby; Kevin Brown as Pops; James Thompson as Rico; Daniel Tate as Myles; Christopher Martin as Julius; and Kori Poe as Dante.
