Kit Modus, a professional dance company in Atlanta, has long been known for its groundbreaking dance repertoire and innovative choreographers.
In June, the company presents two shows at the Emory Performing Arts Studio, at 1804 N. Decatur Road.
First up is Admission-Scion at 5:30 p.m. June 11, with new work by classical ballet and contemporary dancer, choreographer, and community leader, Jillian Mitchell.
Having done her training at the Harid Conservatory and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Mitchell is known throughout the industry for performing with New Jersey Ballet, Rebecca Davis Dance, Roxey Ballet, Georgia Ballet, Gloatl, Proia Dance Project, The Atlanta Opera, and more.
At 7:30 p.m. June 14, the Kit Modus ensemble will perform works by award-winning choreographers Christian Denice and Yoshito Sakuraba. Additionally, they will present a world premier by Kit Modus dancer Emma Morris.
