ARTucker, a non-profit 501(c)(3) advocating for the arts in Tucker, GA, is looking for artists to take part in an outdoor show scheduled for May 13 at the Church Street Green Space, 4316 Church Street.
The show is open to all Georgia artists over the age of 18, showing their own creations. Art, crafts and photographs will all be considered and reviewed by a volunteer jury of local artists.
All money raised will go towards marketing and show operations, with remaining funds returned to the Tucker community. In the past, funds have provided financial support of the Tucker Recreation Center, the Tucker Art Guild, Tucker High School’s art program, and Scraplanta.
“From inception, we’ve offered affordable opportunities to local artists to sell handcrafted artwork to the community biannually,” said founder Patty Kurtz Young. “We are thrilled to expand our vision to presenting live performers at our upcoming event.”
Additionally, performers will activate the grassy area beside the artists’ market in timed performances throughout the day. The nonprofit seeks inquiries from performers of any kind, including musicians, singers, theatre groups, dance or movement, performance art, spoken word, poetry, and more.
The jury fee is $20 and applications will be be accepted only through Eventeny.com. For more information, visit www.artucker.org.
