A new exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta lets visitors “dive in” to the fun, as Splash and Bubbles: Dive In, Lend a Fin! was designed to promote ocean exploration.
The exhibit is based on the popular PBS KIDS animated television show, Splash and Bubbles, which encourages children to explore ocean science and marine biology through character-driven comedy.
The early childhood STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)-based exhibition builds on viewers’ connections to the TV characters and their habitats, immersing them in a larger-than-life marine environment and introducing them to the incredible world of ocean exploration and teaching them how to protect the ocean and its ecosystems.
There are numerous hands-on exhibit components and children will participate in fun adventures, such as navigating an under-the-sea maze, exploring a sunken ship that has become an artificial reef, interacting with puppet characters created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and becoming a Reeftown Ranger to learn to protect the ocean.
Splash and Bubbles: Dive In, Lend a Fin! will be on display at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta through April 30 and is free with museum admission.
