Many Bothans died to bring you this musical, says the artists at Dad’s Garage Theatre. Wicket, the company’s latest world premiere, tells the classic Star Wars tale from the Ewoks’ perspective. The cute, cuddly, deadly creatures will sing, dance and share their story of what was really going on in the Galactic Federation. Like Wicked and The Wizard of Oz, this scripted 90-minute parody is a revisionist riff. Its hero is a pint-sized Ewok named Wicket, who gets little respect and just wants to find his true love. Dad’s is based in the Old Fourth Ward and cautions that its work is not recommended for anyone not old enough to experience adult humor or anyone who doesn’t like it. It also has a fully stocked bar.
