The 2010 musical Million Dollar Quartet features the songs of Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, and is inspired by the famous recording session that brought them together for the first and only time in Memphis in December 1956. Their memorable jam session took place at Sun Records studios, which provides the setting for this show and a reason to rock and roar through a song list that includes “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That’s All Right,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Walk the Line,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Folsom Prison Blues” and “Hound Dog,” among others. This Atlanta Lyric staging is a co-production with Georgia Ensemble Theatre.
