The world-class High Museum of Art awaits you. Slip in for a few hours of cool fun and mind-expanding work from visual artists near and far. You have until Aug. 14 to catch The Rise of Sneaker Culture, which traces the origin of the shoe and its place in pop culture. A major retrospective of the work of Walker Evans (1903-1975) continues through Sept. 11. Walker is considered one of the most influential documentary photographers of the 20th century. And, through Nov. 27, a site-specific work sits on Sifly Plaza featuring four wooden sculptures of animals or familiar objects that invite play. Coming next: Thomas Struth: Nature and Politics (Oct. 16 to Jan. 8, 2017). With it, the High becomes the first U.S. museum to present new work by this German photographer.
