Engineer, environmentalist, futurist, poet, philosopher and inventor of the geodesic dome. R. Buckminster Fuller, who died in 1983 at age 87, was a visionary who foretold many of today’s challenges. The man considered the Leonardo da Vinci of the 20th century asked tough questions: Can humankind sustain itself on Earth, and if so, how? And, do we have the courage to reinvent ourselves? Fuller is alive again, onstage, in Theatrical Outfit’s R. Buckminster Fuller: The History (and Mystery) of the Universe. This one-man play — told with multimedia, poetry and humanist humor — is in the able hands of actor Tom Key.
