Actor’s Express promises a pulsing, reimagined Rent this summer, the award-winning musical that celebrated youth and la vie boheme. The score, from “Light My Candle” to the iconic “Seasons of Love,” takes you back to an East Village where life is full of possibilities for those who are young, idealistic and unafraid. This winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the 1996 Tony Award for best musical is the only Broadway entry written by Jonathan Larson, who died at age 35, just before the show’s off-Broadway premiere. Its Broadway run lasted more than 12 years.
