qcco_-_mozartKidnap. Seduction. Mozart. Capitol City Opera steps to the lighter side of the art form with The Abduction From the Seraglio, the frequently comic creation from Wolfgang Amadeus. Follow the hero, Belmonte, as he and his servant, Pedrillo, try to rescue his beloved Konstanze from the living quarters (seraglio) of a harem, owned by a high-ranking Persian official. Look for spoken dialogue as well as songs. The three performances are at the Conant Performing Arts Center (the former home of Georgia Shakespeare) on the Oglethorpe University campus.
