Nicolas D. Snider, founder of the National Museum of Patriotism, says most people think of patriotism as being something corny and old-fashioned, “but there’s so much out there about what’s wrong with America, I wanted a place where you come and see what’s right.” Interactive exhibits celebrate people who have shown moral and physical courage and won medals of honor for their achievements, our first-defenders (police, National Guard, fire fighters, etc.), our shared immigrant history, and more. You can even take a test to see if you’d pass the U.S. Naturalization Exam. The Web site features an added bonus for teachers and homeschooling parents — hundreds of free lesson plans for grades K through 12.
