The Children’s Museum of Atlanta has plenty on tap this July for little ones to enjoy their summer time off, including animal yoga, summer games and hands-on experiments at the Science Bar.

The museum’s Art Studio will provide children the chance to craft sports-themed silhouette artwork, while its Jane’s Innovation Station gives them an opportunity to design navigation tools suitable for different weather conditions.

In the Science Bar, the museum will hold an interactive show teaching budding scientists the scientific method, featuring chemical reactions that power a volcano explosion. Experts will be on hand to answer questions and teach the children how to create a hypotheses and share findings.

Throughout the month, CMA On Stage will present Storytime with a reading of The Rat Race: The Amazing Adventures of Anton B. Stanton by Colin McNaughton at noon and 3 p.m., daily.

The excitement of animal yoga will be held weekdays and weekends beginning at 1 p.m., while fun summer game activities follow daily at 2 p.m.

And at Jane’s Innovation Station, children will discover an exciting hands-on activity where they can design and build their very own adventuring tool.

On July 4, a special Independence Day celebration will include a reading of Fourth of July Mice by Bethany Roberts, and baking soda fireworks at the Science Bar, among other treats.

Additionally, on July 14 and July 28, the museum will hold its Mayor’s Summer Reading Club
in collaboration with the City of Atlanta, the Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students, PNC and the United Way. This year’s books are Noah’s Family Farm and Bina’s Harvest.
