Everybody, a finalist for the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, is coming to the Alliance Theatre Sept. 2-Oct. 2. The play explores the meaning of life and the roles we play along the way. In keeping with life’s random twists and turns, the play’s performers draw names on stage to determine which actor will play each character at that performance.

Everybody in Everybody is happy and optimistic until Death comes calling and Everybody must go on a journey to find life’s lasting significance.

The New York Times called the play’s author, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, “one of this country’s most original and illuminating writers.” His play Gloria was a finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize, as well.
