Aurora Theatre has returned to in-person performances with a three-weekend run of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Song and Dance, now through September 12. Starring India Tyree, this ’80s Broadway classic features a story told entirely through song in Act I and entirely in dance in Act II.

In the words of Aurora Theatre

“I have been entranced by Song and Dance since the early 80s when my best friend returned from London and talked incessantly about how great this show was there. I have dreamed about producing it since.

“I worked hard to get the opportunity to produce this show and know it will resonate with today’s audiences the same way it resonated with me. We are giving the piece a contemporary context. I cannot imagine a better way to demonstrate that ARTISTS are essential workers.”

-Co-Founder and Associate Producer Ann-Carol Pence

Behind-the-Curtain Series

Aurora says, “Behind the Curtain is a series designed to take audiences into the room where it happens. We will interview key players in the process of bringing a play or musical from the page to stage.”
