Native Son, a dramatic play by Nambi E. Kelley, will stream on the theatre’s website on July 11. Depicting a gripping and timeless message, the production originally ran in Marietta in the summer of 2017.

About Native Son

For one night only, Marietta’s New Theatre in the Square brings back Native Son, a play by Nambi E. Kelley, adapted from the novel by Richard Wright, and directed by Emil Thomas. Native Son tells the story of Bigger Thomas, a black man navigating prejudice and relationships in the 1930’s. Patrons may purchase a ticket to stream this 2017 production, presented in collaboration with the Actor’s Theatre of Georgia.
