As Atlanta reacts to the CDC’s daily updates regarding COVID-19, our theatres have been announcing closure after closure to keep our city safe.

While we might not be able to attend a show in person these days, Horizon Theatre is bringing a show to us.

Horizon has just announced they will have a live stream of their planned sneak peek event for The Light this evening, March 17. Patrons may access the video on Horizon’s Facebook page beginning at 7:20pm for a Q&A, with a performance at 7:30pm.

“We regret that you will not be joining us in person, but we are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patrons,” Horizon’s Jeff and Lisa Adler write in an email. “We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will keep you apprised of further cancellations.”

About The Light

A surprise proposal takes an unexpected turn that upends the world of Genesis and Rashad, forcing them to confront a secret from the past. Featuring two of Atlanta’s most dynamic actors, Enoch King and Cynthia Barker, this play is a present-day love story that forces a couple to confront secrets from their pasts that puts them on opposing sides of the #MeToo controversy. The Light is a roller coaster journey of laughter, romance and despair that uncovers how the power of radical love can be a healing beacon of light.
