The third annual Food that Rocks will celebrate Sandy Springs in a new way at a new location. The event this year goes downtown, to the new City Green at City Springs. The food, drink, friends and live music remain as fresh as ever. It all happens — for age 21 and up only —  on June 9. This rain-or-shine event is an all-inclusive evening that features samples of beer, wine and craft beverages, plus bites from more than 20 metro restaurants. This year’s lineup includes Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop, CalyRoad Creamery, Gio’s Chicken Amalfitano, Southern Bistro and Taqueria Tsunami, a Latin-Asian fusion kitchen, among many others. Sip, sup and take in rockin’ local music. It all benefits the Community Assistance Center (which combats homelessness), the Drake House (which assists homeless single mothers and their children) and Second Helpings Atlanta (a food rescue organization).
