The Fox Theatre’s Marquee Club, the 10,000-ft. expansion featuring a rooftop terrace and generous event space, will officially open May 17 with a ribbon-cutting for inaugural members. Fox ticket holders can buy access passes for select events as of April 16, on a first-come, first-serve basis via the Fox website HERE.

Non-members will be able to buy access passes beginning May 19 with Live From Here With Chris Thile, the variety show that succeeded A Prairie Home Companion.

By any measure, the club is opening some seven months later than first projected. The reason: surprises encountered when design and construction crews began digging into an 89-year-old building. Still, the $10 million expansion is the largest one-time revitalization the Fox has seen since its 1929 grand opening and includes the northwest corner of the building previously leased as retail space.

Memberships are still available at 404.881.2127 or 404.881.2107. Prices are as follows:

  • Corporate annual: $12,000; $24,000; and $48,000.
  • Individual annual: $2,700 (does not include parking); $3,000; and $6,000.
  • 2018/19 Broadway subscriber: $600 (with fewer perks).

The members-only club will include a 4,000-sq. ft. rooftop terrace under the night sky and overlooking Peachtree Street, plus some 6,000 square feet of indoor event space. All of it continues the venue’s Moroccan-style decor.

The rooftop terrace features a combination of indoor, solarium and outdoor spaces for climate-controlled, cooled or fully outdoor spaces. Each will have its own bar. Members will be able to use the lounge/terrace before and after events and during intermission. Other perks can include:

  • The ability to buy tickets before the general public.
  • A dedicated ticketing concierge.
  • Self-parking in a dedicated lot.
  • Private entry 90 minutes before show time.
  • Complimentary nonalcoholic beverages and hors d’oeuvres.
  • Access to five bars.
  • Private restrooms.
  • The ability to pre-order drinks, desserts and coffee for intermission.

The 4,665-seat Fox, which hosts some 250 performances a year, is home to the Broadway in Atlanta series of touring theater productions, Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker and the Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival. It’s a regular stop for dance companies, children’s shows, comedians and musicians, all of which attract more than 500,000 patrons each year. The Fox also is popular for wedding receptions, trade shows, corporate meetings and association functions.
