The life of Robert J. Farley, the Georgia Ensemble Theatre leader who died unexpectedly Nov. 30, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Dec. 18 by his family and theater family, who invite you to join them.

The celebration is at GET in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St., Roswell. The gathering will include music by many of Farley’s favorite singers and instrumentalists, and remembrances from family and a few friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the theater’s Robert J. Farley Memorial Fund. A reception follows the celebration.

Farley, 69, co-founded GET in 1992 with wife Anita Allen-Farley. He was a professional theater artist for 50 years, more than 40 of those as an artistic director — at Alaska Repertory Theatre in Anchorage, at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre and at GET. A few weeks ago he and Allen-Farley were honored for lifetime achievement at the Suzi Bass awards, Atlanta professional theater’s version of Broadway’s Tony awards.
