LIKE YOUR TEES? You might like these, then. A lot.

New York fashion designer Alejandra Echeverria has introduced a brand of luxury tees and tanks in ultra-soft, lightweight Italian cashmere and silk. Luxury is a key word. (Our preview comes from E. Vincent Martinez and his Fashionado website.)

The collection, called Frances de Lourdes, was born out of a desire for a refined classic tee, the 36-year-old designer says. The name references her mother’s and father’s middle names. Her goal was to create an “elevated version” of her favorite vintage staple — the perfect tee.

Echeverria, a longtime lover, wearer and collector of tees, set out to create a collection of timeless pieces she would want and that she felt were missing from the market. She spent more than a year developing the debut collection, which consists of eight tees and tanks.

The line is anchored by the Johnny Tee, based on an oversized vintage men’s tee that has shrunken over time to hit the perfect spot on the hip. The 80 percent cashmere/20 percent silk tee has a relaxed fit, round neckline and short sleeves

The line features two more tees —  the Frankie and the Marlon. The Frankie is a deep V-neck alternative; the Marlon is the only long-sleeved style (it retails at $340, the highest price in the collection). The best place to shop for these tees, which come in black and white only, is on the line’s website HERE.

Echeverria has spent a decade designing for New York fashion brands. She studied at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and the Parsons New School of Design.
