It’s all about jazz — Latin jazz in particular — at Aurora Theatre, when Amor: The New Standard arrives Sept. 2. Hear jazz, tango, bolero and more with tenor César Augusto and pianist/music director José Manuel Garcia, who do pop standards their way. Augusto comes from the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra Chorus. You might know him from Serenbe Playhouse’s Evita, in which he played Juan Perón. Garcia, an award-winning jazz pianist, composer, arranger, orchestrator and educator, is the music director and conductor of the Gwinnett Symphony. This musical viaje will take you from Cuba to Argentina, from Colombia to Mexico, and from the United States to Europe. One night only. Que te diviertas!
