micemenSerenbe Playhouse adapts John Steinbeck’s famous 1937 novella for its outdoor spaces, which become a working farm in Depression-era California. Daniel Parvis and Blake Burgess play farmhands George and Lennie, the witty little guy and the lumbering giant of a man, leaning on each other to find their way in a difficult world. This time-tested story about friendship, fortitude and fate takes place in Serenbe’s barn, alongside a horse or two. Note: The piece contains themes that may be most appropriate for ages 15 and up.
