14-15_thumb_RJ copyAtlanta Ballet describes itself as bold, innovative and exquisite. That certainly is true of its Roméo et Juliette, back by popular demand just in time for a romantic Valentine’s Day. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution described last season’s performance as “luminous,” adding, “Like first love, it is stirring at every level. … Audiences should pack a tissue or two and see this production.” This fresh take on Shakespeare’s masterpiece digs deep into the power of young and forbidden love. It’s choreographed by Jean-Christophe Maillot of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo. Performed live with the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra. Note: These tickets are in the front of the orchestra or center mezzanine.
