542Before the feature film Frozen, there was The Snow Queen, as Serenbe Playhouse likes to say, both based on the original Hans Christian Andersen tale. Only the latter bewitches Serenbe playgoers this holiday season. The tale of loyalty, redemption and love comes to life in a world premiere adaptation by Rachel Teagle (Serenbe’s The Sleepy Hollow Experience, Alice in Wonderland, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz). In it, brave young Gerda embarks on an epic quest to save her brother from the mysterious Snow Queen and the chill creeping into his heart. Three weekends of performances begin Dec. 4
