poshaudraFive-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald joins the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for its annual gala this Saturday, March 8, only. We’ve got dealz for the concert (not pre- and post-gala affairs) that cannot be beat — $35 for front balcony seats and $20 for rear balcony seats! McDonald, a rare talent, has won Broadway’s top honors for her work in Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun and Porgy and Bess. She has five solo albums to her credit, a TV series (“Private Practice”) in her pocket and regularly sings with symphony orchestras across the country. You can expect to hear “When Did I Fall in Love” from the musical Fiorello and a signature tune, “Stars and the Moon,” by Jason Robert Brown. See her before she goes back to Broadway as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill, opening in April at Circle in the Square. Plus, you can feel good about yourself: This concert benefits the orchestra and its education and community engagement programs.
